Who we are?
Global Aid Insights is a collective of refugees operating at the intersection of feminist research and evaluation in conflict zones. Our team members have firsthand experience with humanitarian crises, which enriches our work in multidisciplinary research, evaluation, and program design. We maintain strong global connections and have deep ties to diverse communities and internally displaced persons worldwide. With extensive expertise in multidisciplinary research and evaluation across various regions, including Asia, the Pacific, Africa, and the Middle East, we offer a unique perspective shaped by our experiences of war, crises, and displacement. This, coupled with our exclusion by Western organizations and profound interest in elevating southern feminist paradigms, allows us to approach our work with empathy, cultural and contextual understanding, and a nuanced perspective of the challenges confronting vulnerable populations.
Moreover, Global Aid Insights has significant experience in managing and implementing humanitarian and development programs in partnership with international non-governmental organizations (INGOs), donors, private sectors, and foundations. Our team has a proven track record of delivering high-quality research and evaluation services that support evidence-based decision-making and help organizations optimize their impact. We also have extensive experience in supporting the design and implementation of durable solutions for displaced communities, including through community-led approaches and engagement.
We are committed to upholding professional standards in our work and adhere to ethical research and evaluation practices. We continuously strive for excellence in our work, and our collaborative approach ensures that our research and evaluation services are tailored to meet the specific needs and priorities of our partners and the communities we serve.

Our values
Cultural Responsiveness
We recognize the importance of understanding and respecting the cultural contexts of the communities we work with. Therefore, we are committed to using culturally responsive approaches that incorporate local knowledge and perspectives, and are sensitive to the diverse needs and experiences of different communities. We prioritize working with local researchers and partners to ensure that our work is contextually appropriate and relevant.
Feminisim
At the heart of our mission lies a commitment to Southern feminism, guided by the principles of inclusivity, intersectionality, and empowerment. We recognize and honor the diverse lived experiences of individuals within vulnerable populations, amplifying their voices and advocating for their rights. We believe in centering the perspectives of marginalized communities, valuing their agency, and respecting their autonomy in decision-making processes. Our approach is rooted in cultural humility, acknowledging the complexities of intersecting identities and the unique challenges faced by individuals from diverse backgrounds. In our work, we prioritize collaboration and solidarity, fostering partnerships that empower communities to address systemic inequalities and create sustainable change. We strive to challenge patriarchal structures and colonial legacies, promoting social justice and liberation for all.
Contextualisation
We understand that every context is unique and that a one-size-fits-all approach to research and evaluation is not effective. We strive to contextualize our work, adapting to the specific cultural, social, and political contexts of the communities we work with. This approach enables us to apply feminist lenes, understand the needs, inequalities, and priorities of communities and design programs and interventions that are more effective and sustainable.
Empathy
We believe in approaching our work with empathy and compassion, recognizing the humanity of the individuals and communities we serve. We seek to understand their unique capacities, circumstances, needs, and perspectives to ensure that our research and evaluation services are responsive, respectful, and effective.
